RISC Group IT Solutions UK operates two data centre environments based at geographically dispersed locations in the North West of England.
Both sites offer a secure, resilient environment for hosting customer platforms through a combination of world-class utilities, connectivity, security, engineering services and protection against infiltration and poweroutage. These are highly controlled, restricted access environments offering the highest levels of security.
Sites are carefully constructed with uninterruptible power supplies and stand-by generation systems, cable management and air conditioning to ensure a resilient location for the storage of critical data.

Total protection using industry best practices
The RISC Group data centres are designed to provide extremely reliable protection for your important files. To this end we employ:
Transmission Checking
RISC Group utilises extensive error checking to detect data transmission problems before your backup reaches our data centres. The online backup software retransmits any data packets if transmission errors are detected.
Server Mirroring
We employ geographically separate, mirrored, secure data servers at all times. When data arrives at one, it is simultaneously copied over secure communication lines to the other.
The synchronicity of this process provides complete protection of your data, and constant accessibility to the backup and restore facilities.
RAID Redundancy
To provide additional insurance against data loss due to disk failure, each computer system in our data centre uses self repairing RAID storage techniques. Inherent in RAID is built in redundancy, which enables the system to automatically recover, without loss of data from a disk failure.
