Two New Appointments and a Promotion Accelerate Development
Two new appointments and a promotion accelerate growth for RISC Group IT Solutions - ahead of forecasts.
RISC Group IT Solutions , the IT Managed Services experts, today announced that their Q3 & Q4 sales forecasts are to be increased due to the creation of a restructured sales and marketing department. The team which was formed with two new appointments and an internal promotion combines the expertise of Zycko, Honeywell and NWN Media and has already had a positive impact on the reseller market.
Managing Director Paul Roberts is very positive about this development. 'This new structure allows us to fast track our goal to be the best in storage and data solutions, matching our reputation as the UK’s leading provider of online data back-up solutions, a reputation that has been gained on trust, technical expertise and a 'value added' service'.
The RISC Group IT Solutions team sees Alasdair Hill as UK Sales Manager, Kirsch Bowker as Marketing Manager and Felicity Burton as Business Development Manager.
Alasdair has a well respected reputation gained at Zycko, the convergent IT solutions distributor and is well known to many in the industry. He will be tasked with sourcing new technologies and developing storage and VOIP specific solutions for SME and Enterprise clients, expanding on the successful RISC Group IT Solutions portfolio.
He said of his appointment, 'I’m delighted to have joined RISC Group IT Solutions. It’s a role that allows me to create innovative solutions and further extend our reach in the market as well as enabling our current customers to take advantage of new products and services that I will be sourcing.
I am also tasked with expanding the UK customer base by entering new markets. It’s an extremely positive development for RISC Group IT Solutions and our channel partners which will enable me to deliver on the open systems message I’ve been preaching for several years.'
The team also benefits from the experience of Kirsch Bowker formerly with ADI International, the Honeywell owned security distributor where she was UK and Ireland Marketing Manager.

Felicity Burton who previously worked for NWN Media is already known to RISC Group’s partners as she has been working in account management for almost two years. With the retirement of Dave Edmonds, earlier this year Felicity has been promoted to the role of Business Development Manager, with responsibility for developing and nurturing the reseller side of the business.
